OCTOBER MEETING
Sunday, October 24
5PM to 7PM
Location: In Stitches Sewing - 48 Franklin Street, Quincy
Our Chapter will once again support Operation Santa by sewing holiday stockings, writing holiday cards and collecting stocking stuffer items to be shipped to deployed troops. In Stitches Sewing in Quincy has generously offered the use of their store, sewing machines and irons for our event.
The stocking template is posted below for downloading. Fabric guidelines are included with the template. Note that 1 yard of fabric should provide 3 stockings if placed properly. Please come to the meeting with stockings cut out and ready for sewing.
For those of us that are sewing challenged, there will be plenty to do with ironing seams and writing holiday cards.

Day of the Deployed

Sandwich Taverna - Sandwich, MA
In honor of the Day of the Deployed, a charity dinner event will take place at the Sandwich Taverna in Sandwich, MA All proceeds from this event will go to MA Otis's Pantry, located on the MMR (Otis ANGB). MA Otis Pantry is an emergency food pantry which gathers food items and offers them to members of our military community who may be in crisis. Our goal is to assist any military member or family in need, regardless of branch of service, rank or circumstances. The Sandwich Taverna is location on Rte 130 at the Tradewinds Plaza. The Sandwich Taverna is a family restaurant that provides a warm and welcoming environment. Tickets are $20 and are availavble at MA Otis's Pantry, the Sandwich Taverna or by emailing us at dayofthedeployedma@gmail.com
